How We Raise our Pork and Why it Tastes So Dang Good

You are what you eat!  And to an extent, our pigs eat a pretty good life.  Just imagine living in a lush green forest, fresh water supplied daily, a cute mid-life farmer comes out to stroke your belly every morning, tell you how great you look, and fill up your trough with treats.  Does it get much better?

Our hogs don’t think so.

We raise our pork in a genuinely really happy environment.  And a happy environment equals low stress, and low stress equals happy pork.  And, well, to quote Billy, “Happy pigs make happy people.”  Our pigs have plenty of room to roam, are rotated every 8-10 days, provided natural shade and warm, covered bedding at night.  They like to cuddle up together at night when its cold – like literal pigs in a blanket 🙂

And all of that happy, healthy, hearty environment directly correlates to their flavor profile and fat fat ratio at time of processing.  It’s interesting – the more simplified and natural their living environment, the higher quality product in return.  Order your half hog and taste the difference yourself!
